This project involved extensive mapping of vegetation quality, EVCs and findings of significant flora populations within the foreshore reserve and Latrobe Reserve in Dromana.

The vegetation and mapping assessments undertaken provide updated data on the extent and quality of the indigenous vegetation/bushland within both reserves having originally been assessed under similar criteria in 1996. The results of the recent vegetation assessment confirmed significant improvements in vegetation quality in the last 25 years due to increased management and weed control resources. This was confirmed by analysing and digitising the 1996 vegetation cover/quality mapping, vegetation community and significant species data for both the foreshore and Latrobe Reserves.
